I’m Megan Singleton and together with my husband Mark, we love a road trip! Whether it’s a day trip or stopping somewhere en route to the next place, we’re all about exploring the nooks and crannies of cities, towns, beaches and wide open spaces.

As you can see from the pic above, my husband is a little camera shy. Our friends call him Wilson, the guy behind the fence from Home Improvement? You won’t see photos of him on here, but he’s usually the driver – and bag carrier, as he likes to tell everyone!
I have another travel blog over at www.bloggeratlarge.com. It covers destinations all over the world, but this blog is about specific US day trips. Whether it’s a car ride, a boat trip, a flight to somewhere, or just a perfect day exploring.
We’re Kiwis. Not the fruit. Not the bird either. We are New Zealanders. I lived in the US and went to high school there, then embarked on five years living in London, before returning to Auckland – our home base.
We get to the US about twice a year and take a few weeks each time. In between we have a great team of local freelance writers to cover more content on their own day trips and share some inside tips for our readers.
